Ask

anything you like. If the answer's not here, just contact us directly: answers@brillstreet.com.

  • Can you find me a full-time position, or do you only place interns?

We also place recent grads in full-time positions (we started offering this service because so many clients asked for it, based on the quality of students they see us attracting.)

  • Is there a fee for your services?

There is no cost to you. Any fees are paid by employers.

  • What types of full-time positions can I find through Brill Street.

We work with companies of all sizes in a wide range of industries. Take a look at our Open Positions.

  • How does the process work?

On the student side, students either respond to postings we've placed at colleges, or they apply directly through the Brill Street website (www.brillstreet.com). The applications are fed into our proprietary database, and our Talent Manager team is notified via email that we've received an application. The students are phone screened within 48 hours by a member of the Talent Manager team, and those that prove a high level of ambition and motivation are brought into the office for a personal interview. They bring a transcript from their school, and references that we can check after the screening process is completed. From there, we match their skill sets, school experience, and areas of interest to a part or full time assignment with one of our customers.

  • Can you help me with my resume? How about interviewing skills?

Yes. We review and, if necessary, help you revise your resume. We also coach you on interviewing skills.

  • Do you only place students in Chicago, where you're headquartered, or can you help me find a job in another city?

Brill Street has successfully placed students on assignments in several states around the US. While we have offices in Chicago and Minneapolis, we have great success in finding work experience for students in most major markets, and have an aggressive growth plan to be in nine markets around the US by the end of 2009.

  • If I have to move to take a job, who pays my relocation expenses?

An employer will sometimes reimburse you for some relocation costs, but it is on a case–by–case basis, and less common for entry–level positions
